Dr. Erez Soref:
The lost sheep of Israel need their Shepherd, and it is truly exciting to be involved in the work of presenting the Gospel to unbelieving Jews, but what about the found sheep? They, too, need the Shepherd, His crook of direction, and His rod of protection and training. Erez Soref, a Sabra (native-born Israeli), wandered the world and studied the teachings of Buddhism and other Eastern religions in search of truth. His travels led him to a Christian youth hostel in Amsterdam’s “Red Light District” where he heard the Gospel and was given a copy of the New Testament in his native Hebrew language, leading this lost sheep to the Good Shepherd. Now, with a Ph.D. from Wheaton College in the U.S., Erez serves as president of the only accredited Bible college in Israel training Israelis for ministry in the Land (ICB, Israel College of the Bible). He also directs two Christian counseling, youth, and family ministries (Everlasting Arms, and Netivah) to meet the growing needs of the believing, yet often hurting, people among Israel’s ten thousand Messianic believers. In his own land, among his own people, but now with the Gospel of Jesus, Dr. Erez Soref serves, trains, and counsels his people in a land in dire need of the true guidance that can only come from the Shepherd’s voice.
